In the Somatic approach, each of us listens to what and how we are feeling in our bodies.
The body is rich with sensations and feelings.

By listening to them, can I allow movements to emerge?
Can the movements help me to feel more comfort, release and expression?
How much activity feels stimulating and how much rest feels nurturing to me today?
And … what feels right to me right at this moment?

Working very closely with my own body often gives me some deep insights and realisations.
The body has its intelligence that we tend to forget to listen to.
The intelligence that all the animals have.

This is a space to let the soft animal of the body speak.

This is a non-judgemental space.

Bring your blanket if you feel like it.

And a paper and pen, or/ and drawing materials of your choice.
These will be used for self-reflection after moving.

The most importantly, come as you are!

I hope you join me on the movement journey.

Mary Oliver
Wild Geese

You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting–
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.
